Lincolnshire COVID Cases Rising Fast

Published on

  • 3,578 COVID Cases have been reported this week in Lincolnshire

The number of COVID cases around Lincolnshire including Lincoln, Boston, and Grantham are rising fast with 660 news cases reported on Friday.

According to official figures, there were 3,578 COVID cases this week, which is a worrying sign for the Lincolnshire area.

The Government has also released data that shows there have been seven deaths in Lincolnshire, and six deaths in Greater Lincolnshire hospitals up until today.

With the cases rising, some people are questioning why the Government are removing so many countries off the red list.

With the NHS Hospitals in Lincolnshire already struggling, these rising COVID cases are going to put them under more strain.

Out of the 660 new COVID cases today, 443, were in Lincolnshire, 82 in North East Lincolnshire, and 135 were in North Lincolnshire.

Around the UK, 36,060 COVID cases were reported with 127 deaths.

We have been contacted by 24 NHS workers who are questing why countries are moving off the red list, and why nobody is investing the rise in COVID cases and deaths.

One nurse who works in a Hospital in North East Lincolnshire is calling on all political parties to come together to fight the COVID pandemic. Another nurse from the same hospital has questioned with so many deaths and cases why more is not being done.

On Doctor from a hospital in Lincolnshire has said the Government are just treating COVID like it was normal. He mentioned there are not many press conferences now, and there seems to be a lack of action.

It is not just the Government who are ignoring the COVID problem and think it is all over. We went into supermarkets in Grimsby, Boston, Scunthorpe, and Skegness and were shocked with what we saw.

Although no one is forced to wear face masks anymore, we were surprised to see how few people were wearing face masks. Even social distancing has become a thing of the past.

Some scientists believe that COVID will be around for many years to come, while some believe in the future it will just be treated and accepted like flu.
