• The tourist information office is located right by the port entrance. You can ask for a city map that will provide you with all the information you need and you can also purchase parking and bus tickets.
• The Palermo Port Area. The port of Palermo is flat which is great for wheelchair users and those that have mobility problems. It is important to be careful when crossing the road when in the city of Palermo. There are not many traffic lights, and sadly the drivers in Palermo don’t really respect people crossing the road. The attractions are within walking distance of each other.
• Taxis at the Palermo Port. There are taxis available on the pier, and for those looking to take a taxi to the city centre, they can expect to pay around 15-20 euros one way.
• Public bus from the Port of Palermo. There are buses available on Via Francesco Crispi (“Via” means “street” in Italian). The street runs parallel to the Palermo cruise port. Once you exit the cruise terminal, the street is right in front of you. The 107 Bus will take you to the city centre. It is about ten minutes and will cost around 1.40 eruros. The bus run every 15 minutes.
• Bus 107 also goes to the Palermo central station. To get to the nearest bus station you need to leave the cruise terminal and cross the street and turn left. You will need to walk for about 150-200 m.
• Hop on Hop Off Bus Stop at Palermo Port. There are Hop on Hop off tours available that are available from just ten euros.
