A Lincolnshire food bank that has helped more than 2,400 people since it opened in February are urgently asking for donations.
The Caistor food bank which is based at Methodist Church Hall on Chapel Street has become a very important service to those struggling. They have already helped 1,500 adults and 920 children since they opened back in February.
The voluntary run organisation is managed by a team of 25 volunteers including Brian Milne, volunteer manager, his wife Sue, and Thirza Dixon. Between them they have delivered over 1,000 food parcels, providing much needed to support to those that need it the most.
They have made a huge difference to so many lives. With high unemployment, rising bills, reduction in Universal Credit, people are struggling more than ever before. The Caistor Food Bank is expecting to see even more people need their support. But they need help.
Brian Milne and his team need supplies to continue their great work. They are looking for donations of food, basic toiletries, money, and even more volunteers.
People can either drop off their food donations at the Methodist Church Hall when it is open between 11am and 2pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays or put them in the allocated baskets at the Lincolnshire Co-op stores in Caistor and Keelby.
