  • Lincolnshire COVID cases rise 12% week-on-week

Worrying news for Greater Lincolnshire. COVID cases in Lincolnshire continue to rise with no sign of them slowing down.

Great Lincolnshire which includes Spalding, Grantham, Boston, and Louth has become a hot spot for COVID. Cases continue to rise 12% week-on-week, putting more pressure on Lincolnshire hospitals that include Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The number of COVID cases in Greater Lincolnshire this week stands at 4,075, but this is likely to increase over the next couple of days.

Last Friday the number of cases in Greater Lincolnshire stood at 3,578, which means the number of news cases has increased by 12.2%.

There have been 12 deaths of Lincolnshire residents according to Government data.

We visited a number of supermarkets in the Greater Lincolnshire area including Grimsby, Skegness, and Boston, and we were surprised how few people were wearing face masks.

It seems most people are no longer taking precautions, even though COVID cases in Lincolnshire continue to rise. When we spoke to people why they were not wearing face masks, they responded by saying Boris Johnson said they were no longer needed.
