Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Called Out To Café Fire In Grantham

Fire crews were called out to a fire in a café in Grantham

 

Lincolnshire Firefighters responded to a blaze at a cafe caused by a tumble dryer. The incident occurred today (December 27) at Kitchen and Coffee on Grantham’s Westgate.

An eyewitness reported that the cafe was evacuated and confirmed there were no injuries. Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue stated, “Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to a fire at a commercial property on Westgate in Grantham at 12:35 on December 27.”

“Two crews from Grantham responded to extinguish the fire, which caused severe damage to a tumble dryer and its contents, heat damage to the staff room and contents, and moderate smoke damage throughout the ground floor,” the statement continued.

Fire crews utilized two breathing apparatus units, one hose reel, a thermal imaging camera, and ventilated the property.
