Paul Robson: Sex offender who fled HMP North Sea Camp recaptured
A sex offender who escaped from HMP North Sea Camp has been recaptured. Paul Robson walked out of HMP North Sea Camp prison near Boston on Sunday and has spent four days on the run.
When it was announced that Paul Robson escaped, Lincolnshire Police believed he was hiding in Boston, Lincolnshire. However, Lincolnshire Police found and arrested him in Skegness at 9.30 GMT this morning.
The sex offender who police said was dangerous and should not be approached has been described as a menace to females.
When he escaped from the prison, people were shocked that such a dangerous criminal was transferred to an open prison.
Paul Robson, 56 was given a life sentence in 2000 after he sexually assaulted a woman at knifepoint.
After spending four days on the run, Lincolnshire Police are now interviewing him to find out where he has spent the last four days and who has been helping him.
Ch Supt Kate Anderson thanked members of the public for their help in catching the sex offender.
