Revamped play area planned for Lincoln Park

Great news for Whitton Park in Long Leys Road, Carholme, Lincoln, a new play area is set to be approved next week.

The application to revamp the play area is set to be put in front of the planning committee next week (November 3).

The plan is expected to be approved after officers recommended its approval. This investment would be a major boost for the popular park.

It has been ten years since any changes were made to the play area.

Part of the report prepared for councillors on the planning committee states: “This investment will see play opportunities in the park greatly enhanced and the longevity of the equipment has been a key design criteria.”

The planning application has also been supported by the Long Leys Road Residents Association
