The Jamaica Celebrity Sports Camps is an annual event organized by RuJohn Foundation. The event is hosted in line with the organization’s goal of providing the necessary tools for education to the rural and inner-city schools of the United States and Jamaica. The annual event includes sports camps led professional athletes and acting workshops anchored by successful actors and entertainers in Kingston and Montego Bay Jamaica. The 2019 edition of the event is scheduled to hold from June 16 to 22, with notable names on the list of attendees.
Since it was founded in 2003 by Christina and Andrew Bachelor, the RuJohn Foundation has stayed true to its goal of helping needy students and other such persons across Jamaica and the U.S. reach their full potential by providing workshops, school supplies, academic scholarships, and refurbished basketball courts. The annual celebrity camps is one of the ways the foundation has been able to achieve its goal in recent times, using sports and creativity as a source of motivation.
The 2019 Annual Jamaica Celebrity Sports Camps will be featuring A-list sports and entertainment celebrities. Some of the names expected to attend the event include Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (Meet the Blacks), Emmy Nominated Actor DeStorm Power (Caught), and Darius Butler (Indiana Colts). Other celebrity attendees are Jelanie Jenkins (Miami Dolphins), Lance Gross (Star), Tristin Mays (McGuyver), Shibhon and Amanda (former Brooklyn Nets Dancer), and a host of other big shots organized by Christina Bachelor.
