Things to do in Chile

With its stunning coastlines, astonishing landscapes, and desserts that make you feel you are in a Star Wars film; Chile is an amazing place to visit. There are lots of things to do in Chile and it has something for everyone from visiting a zoo, visiting award-winning wineries, shopping for luxuries, or eating at some of the world’s best restaurants.

It’s hard to decide what to see and do with so many great things to do in Chile, so we have made a list of our favourite places to visit.

Home to Andean peaks, dramatic coastlines, and otherworldly deserts, Chile has an astonishing variety of landscapes that set the scene for unforgettable adventures. You can trek through Patagonian wilderness in the deep south or buzzing beach towns in the north. In between, you’ll find award-winning wineries, art-filled bohemian enclaves, and impossibly picturesque valleys, not to mention one of South America’s most dynamic cities. The biggest challenge is deciding where to begin.

Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts

Things to do in ChileThe Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts built-in 1880 is the oldest museum in South America. The incredible museum which houses stunning art collections is a must-visit for art lovers. It holds regular exhibitions so there is always something new to see. The building itself is stunning.

Chilean National Zoo

things to do in chileThe Chilean National Zoo is a must-visit if you are visiting Chile with the family. Kids will love the zoo which opened in 1925.

It is situated inside Santiago Metropolitan Park in San Cristobal Hill. Over 12-acres the Chilean National Zoo is home to over 158 species of animals. They include jaguars, lemurs, guanacos, lions, penguins, kangaroos, elephants, and my favourite emus.

If you want to put a smile on a child’s face then visit the Chilean National Zoo, even the adults will be impressed.

Chungara Lake

things to do in chileYou cannot visit Chile without taking a trip to the Chungara Lake which is within the exquisite Lauca National Park. If you plan to take a trip to the Chingara Lake which is the 31st highest lake in the world then don’t forget your camera. With its mountains and volcanoes, it is one of the most amazing sights you will come across in Chile.

The lake is amazing, and near the lake, you will see lots of different animals which includes foxes, llamas, and alpacas.

Sandboarding

Rafting And Kayaking

Wine tasting in the Colchagua Valley

Wine tasting in the Colchagua ValleyIf you love wine, then you need to book a Bookmundi wine tasting trip. Chile has some of the best vineyards in the world, producing some amazing wine. The wine trips allow you to see how the wine is made as well as tasting some stunning wine.

Fantasilandia
