Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning outside a pub in Scunthorpe. The assault happened on Wells Street, Scunthorpe on Saturday 2nd October.

The man who was attached at around 12.19am in an unprovoked attack received life-threatening injuries.

According to Humberside Police, a man got out of a white van at around 12.10 and assaulted the victim a number of times. He then got back in the van and drove off.

Humberside Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward, and for people driving in the area at the time to check their dashcam for any footage that could help them with their enquiries.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses or those with information to come forward to aid them in their enquiries.

In a statement, a spokesperson from Humberside Police said: “Officers are investigating an assault in Wells Street, Scunthorpe on Saturday 2nd October.
