The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has today announced they plan to introduce a booking system for those wishing to visit the seals at Donna Nook.
The booking system is being introduced due to the COVID-19 crisis after the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust warned that things would work differently this year at Donna Nook due to the Pandemic.
Donna Nook which is home to a colony of grey seals attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year. During the winter months when the grey seals come to the Lincolnshire beaches to breed, it causes excitement in Lincolnshire and beyond.
The seal viewing area is normally open from late October until December, but the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has warned this year could be different.
“If we are able to go ahead, it will almost certainly mean a booking system and we will make an announcement as soon as possible.”
Donna Nook which is one of the most important sites in the country for grey seals is made up of sand dunes, slacks, and inter-tidal areas. It has become a major tourist attraction for Lincolnshire.
For people wishing to visit Donna Nook this year, then please do keep an eye out on our Lifestyle Magazine site or the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust website for more details.
