Lincoln Buses Cancelled Due To Staff Shortage

  • Stagecoach blames Brexit for staff shortages and COVID-19

Stagecoach have once again had to cancel bus routes today in Lincoln after previously cutting them in other areas of Lincolnshire.

The bus company who blames the cancelled routes on staff shortage on Brexit and COVI-19, has warned more cancelled routes will happen on Monday.

Stagecoach East Midlands says it is “working round the clock” to tackle staff shortages that are causing Lincolnshire bus services to be temporarily cancelled, as the impact of Brexit continues to affect business.

The bus company staff shortage caused a huge problem last week in Skegness, and now that problem is happening in Lincoln.

Bus services in Skegness continue to suffer from cancellations with Stagecoach forced to alter timetables and routes until they overcome the problem.

Stagecoach have said it is unclear how long the problem will continue for Lincoln and Skegness.

Today there were 20 Skegness routes cancelled and 20 for Lincoln. From Monday, Stagecoach are being forced to cut back on the following routes:

1, 2 and 3 in Skegness and 6, X6, 9, 15 and 16 in Lincoln.

Stagecoach have said they are working hard to overcome the staff shortage problem and apologize to those affected.
