Grantham Man Appears In Court On Attempted Murder

  • A man has appeared at Lincoln Magistrate Court charged with attempted murder and assault in Grantham

 

We reported how a 55-year-old man was arrested following a domestic incident at a property in Grantham. That same man has now been charged with attempted murder and assault.

Mark Hough, 55, of Manchester Way in Grantham appeared at Lincoln Magistrate court on Friday 29th November to face charges of assault and attempted murder

He was arrested on Wednesday at his property at 9.51pm after Lincolnshire Police received reports of a disturbance at his property.

When police arrived at the property, they found a woman and a man had been injured in the incident. The woman in her 50s suffered serious injuries while the man in his 20s received minor injuries.

Upon his arrest, Mark Hough was remanded in custody and was charged with attempted murder and ABH.

Lincolnshire Police said he was “charged following an investigation into an incident where a woman in her 50s suffered puncture wounds and a man in his 20s suffered burns”.

Lincoln Magistrates court were told that there had been a family row which involved Mark Hough and his estranged wife.

Mark Hough who confirmed his name and address did not enter a plea. He was remanded in custody until his court case.

He will next appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday, December 6.
