Lincolnshire special constable accused of misusing computers has appeared at Boston Magistrate Court on Tuesday, March 22.
Dominic Watson, a Lincolnshire Special Constable has appeared in Boston magistrates court accused of five allegations of misusing computers to access secure programmes and data. The Special Police Constable formerly of Hudson Way in Skegness but now lives in in St Johns Street in Wainfleet, was charged with five counts of causing a computer to perform a function to secure/enable unauthorised access to a program/data.
The Lincolnshire Special Constable has been accused of unauthorised access on October 19, 2019, January 28, 2020, February 16, 2020, between March 29 and March 31, 2020, and on July 13, 2020. Dominic Watson entered no pleas to the five charges at Boston Magistrate Court on Tuesday, March 22.
A request by Dominic Watson defence team requested an adjournment after they said they had not been able to advise their client due to not seeing any papers relating to the case. Although the magistrates were critical that Dominic Watson had not consulted his legal team earlier, and his defence team had not done enough to obtain the papers from the prosecution, an adjournment was granted.
Dominic Watson who showed no emotion at Boston Magistrate court was advised that when he appears again on April 13, he must enter a plea. The Lincolnshire Special Constable was granted unconditional bail.
