SAN FRANCISCO, April 7, 2016 – The San Francisco Chapter of the global Social Media Club presents an evening with Kathleen Clark and Lauren Jones, the social media strategists for the City and County of San Francisco. The event, attended by the region’s social media leaders, will be hosted at the Peerspace on April 28.

Kathleen leads the City’s social media initiative and helps the City’s department better leverage the power of communications. She will discuss the current state of San Francisco’s public communications an why social media is an integral part of the strategy. In addition, she will share how it’s working and what the future holds for the initiative. Lauren

For the past 10 years, Kathleen has lead social media strategy and development for private and public sector organizations to drive business growth and brand awareness. She recently was named Acting Director of Communications for the San Francisco Department of Technology. Lauren Jones is the newly appointed Digital Communications Manager. Like Kathleen, Lauren has worked with nonprofit, private and public sector organizations to brand awareness with digital technologies. Both are thrilled to be evangelists for the City and for the power of social media.

The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 10 at the General Assembly, 225 Bush Street, Fifth Floor in San Francisco. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.
