Taking a motorbike road trip from Chiang Mai to Pai will take you around three to four hours with so much to see on the way. When you arrive at the park office you have two choices of walking routes to take to the waterfall. There is so much to see and do here including bird watching, camping and of course swimming. The Mok Fah Waterfall has crystal clear water and on a hot day taking a nice long swim is highly recommended. When you are heading back from the Mok Fah Waterfall follow the route by the river. You will come across a smaller waterfall which is called Ob Noi.

On the way to the next highly recommended destination which is Pong Deud Geyser you will come across some lovely coffee shops. You cannot go on the Chiang Mai to Pai without stopping at one of these coffee shops.

The hot springs in Thailand is a truly amazing experience. You will have to travel around 6.5 km on your motorbike to reach Pong Deud Geyser which is in Huai Nam Dang National Park Mae Tang district, Chiang Mai Province. The water is hot coming out of the ground, and don’t be surprised due to how hot the water is that you see people putting eggs on the water to cook them.

There are facilities for people who want to stay over night at the Pong Deud Geyser. You can stay in a tent or a bungalow. The picturesque views of the mountain forest is truly amazing, and with so much do to and with the romantic feel it has, it is no wonder why so many people make a point of staying there on their honeymoon.

Huai Nam Dang National Park is another place on the Chiang Mai to Pai road trip that should not be missed. The park covers an area of 1,252.12 square kilometres has and offers some truly amazing mountainous views. The sunrise and sea of clouds in the morning is something worth getting up early for. The waterfall originates from Huai Nam Dang Stream where the water is 50 metres high and 40 metres wide. It is covered by rainforest vegetations and is well worth a visit

There are lots of other amazing places to visit on the Chiang Mai to Pai road trip including Pai Canyon, and Pai Treehouse Resort. Once you get into Pai Thailand you can have a nice well-deserved drink from one of the main coffee shops on offer. Or, if you fancy something nice to eat then try one of the many Pai restaurants.

Pai, Thailand is a dream destination which has so much on offer with three main streets and the scenic Pai River cutting through the eastern part of town. The shopping scene in Pai as lots on offer including souvenirs, jewellery, and even paintings.

If you don’t fancy going back to Chiang Mai the same day then there are many places to stay on offer, and the laid-back nightlife will be a real treat.


Chinese Yunnan village

It has a lot of great places to eat and some wonderful shops, but more importantly, it allows people to experience the Yunnan way of life.
