A former town hall in Skegness has been put up for sale for £600,000 by East Lindsey Council

The beautiful former Skegness Town Hall was built in the 1920s and was original a convalescent home before being transferred to the council in the 1960s.

East Lindsey District Council has said they have put the former Skegness Town Hall on the market as it was surplus to requirements.

The stunning Grade II-listed building includes a main office building and a separate house.

According to Councillor Richard Fry the building was structurally sound but needed work.

“Internally it does need quite a lot of updating and there are parts of the building that haven’t been used for some time which certainly need attention,” he said.

Local Skegness residents have said they hope the new buyer of the building will treat it with respect.
