Lincolnshire Man Jailed For Sex Chat Attempts With ‘Underage Girls’

A 48-year-old man from Pinchbeck has been jailed for 16 months at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday 7th March 2022 for sex chat attempts with ‘underage girls’

Ex-railway worker Jason Hildred, 48, of Walpole Close in Pinchbeck near Spalding was caught in an undercover sting after he attempted to engage in sexual conversations with three girls, he thought to be under-aged.

As well as being given 16 months in prison, Jason Hildred was also ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years and was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order.

Lincoln Crown Court heard that Jason Hildred began swapping messages with a girl he believed to be 12-years old called Dani.

Noel Philo, prosecuting, explained to the court that Dani was infact a member of an organisation which seeks to protect children and not an under-aged girl as Jason Hildred thought.

Jason tried to instigate sexual conversations on WhatsApp, Mr Philo told the court.

During the same time, he was also in contact and tried to engage in sexual conversations with what he thought was an 11-year-old girl called Izzy. In fact, Izzy was another decoy from the same organisation.

This was not the first time that Jason Hildred had appeared in court. In 2013, he was sentenced to a three-year community order for attempting to meet a girl aged under-16 following sexual grooming.

When Jason Hildred was arrested in June 2021, he told officers that he had been totally stupid.

While on police bail, he was once again caught trying to contact a 14-year-old girl who was in fact a police decoy.

Jason Hildred pleaded guilty to three offences of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.

Passing sentence Judge Simon Hirst told Jason Hildred he had to take into consideration that none of his victims were real children.

But Judge Simon Hirst said he could not pass a suspended jail sentence because of Hildred’s previous conviction and his offending while on bail.
