Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard has said he feels ashamed over his arrest for drink driving that led to him being banned from driving for 12 months. Unlike other actors, Nick Pickard did not shy away from the charge and put his hands up and admitted to drink driving.
Nick Pickard who plays Tony Hutchinson appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on 21st December 2012 where he pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit.

The 37 year old actor who is the longest serving actor in the popular channel 4 soap was fined £850 as well as being banned for 12 months; however the actor was told that the ban could be reduced if he takes a rehabilitation course.
MK News reported that the magistrate court heard Nick Pickard who played Mio, the lead role in Mio in the Land of Faraway, alongside Christian Bale and Christopher Lee was was driving in Milton Keynes at 1am on October 15th when he was pulled over by police. The actor was taken to the local police station for a blood test where he was found to have 14 milligrams over the legal alcohol limit.
MK News reported that Nick Pickard’s solicitor told the court: “He wishes to express his remorse and regret, and he acknowledges he made a grave error in judgement.
“He had consumed alcohol earlier that day. He thought the alcohol had gone from his system and he apologises.”
Channel Four have said it is a private matter and no action will be taken against the actor.
