A new club, Ely Elites, part of Safe Soulmates, a friendship organisation which runs social events throughout Cambridgeshire, is now running in Ely.
It is an evening club, running from 7pm to 8.30pm open to the additional needs community to encourage those who would like a safe space to meet once a month, to come along and socialise.
It is a hub for those who perhaps may have lost contact with a friend or partner, or who would simply like to meet new friends. We cook, chat, play board games, create art and generally have fun – parents and carers welcome to join us and socialise too and we always welcome new volunteers.
The club in Ely, venue details given once people have contacted us, allows people to plan their social life, and establish whether they would like to join the wider Safe Soulmates Community of 171 members.
This club, funded by Cambridge County Council Youth and Community Reach Fund and East Cambs District Council, is attended by 15 people at present. The summer meet ups are July 14th and then August 11th, so please get in contact by email or phone if you would like to come along to meet some lovely people.
