While some former X Factor contestants are struggling with their career and being dropped by Simon Cowell including Joe McElderry , Mary Byrne is showing the world that she is not like a normal X Factor contestant, here today and gone tomorrow.
The talented ex Tesco worker who should have won the show according to our In2town Lifestyle Magazine readers has been invited to sing for the Queen at a concert to celebrate a four day visit to wonderful Dublin which will take place next week.
2,000 guests will attend the event, which includes the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh and Irish President Mary McAleese.
The event will be held in Dublin City centre where X Factor winner Mary Bryne will be joined on stage by Riverdance and The Chieftains.
Mary Said: “What an honour it is to be asked to sing in front of The Queen. I am so excited, and a little nervous to be honest. This is a dream come true, to be able to perform for somebody I have respected and admired for so long. I am thrilled.”
