Shop In Gainsborough Sold Illegal Vapes

Gainsborough shop caught selling counterfeit cigarettes and illegal vapes The shop has been issued with a closure order after Lincolnshire County Council Trading Standards and West Lindsey District Council Officers carried out test purchases and raided the premises.   A popular shop in Gainsborough has been issued with a closure order after they were caught selling illegal vapes and counterfeit cigarettes. The Toy Store at 114 Trinity Street, Gainsborough was visited by Lincolnshire County Council Trading Standards and West Lindsey District Council Officers after they conducted test purchases. The Gainsborough shop was caught selling legal vapes to a 16=year-old child as part of the operation. A large quantity of illegal vapes were discovered during a raid on the property. A closure order was granted by Lincoln magistrates on March 1st which means the shop will not be allowed to open until May 29th. Coun Trevor Young, leader of West Lindsey District Council, said: “The council aims to make the district a safe and vibrant place to live, work and socialise. One of the ways to support legitimate businesses is by targeting those involved in criminal activity. “Shops selling dangerous and illegal products contribute nothing to the local community or economy and this sort of activity will be met head on. “Agencies working together, sharing information, pooling resources and skills means we can make the maximum impact. It is important that we take joint action to stop businesses trading illegally. Man Arrested After Serious Skegness Assault

A Man Was Arrested After Assault Took Place At McDonald’s Car Park In Skegness Lincolnshire Police have arrested a 24-year-old man after a serious assault took place in Skegness McDonald car park in the early hours of Sunday morning.   A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after an incident too place at McDonald's car park in Skegness. Lincolnshire were called to Skegness McDonald’s just after 03:00 GMT on Sunday after reports that a man in his 40s was assaulted. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to her face. Police who have asked for people who witnessed the assault to come forward have confirmed that the 24-year-old man who was arrested has been released on bail while investigations continue. The New Chief Constable Of Lincolnshire Announced With crime increasing, Lincolnshire residents are hoping the new Chief Inspector of Lincolnshire Police will make some drastic changes to reduce crime.   Lincolnshire Police who cover areas including Skegness, Louth, Lincoln, and Boston, has announced the appointment of Paul Gibson as its new Chief Constable. This appointment comes after the departure of Chris Haward, who has taken up a position with the National Police Chiefs' Council. With a career spanning over two decades in law enforcement, Paul Gibson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. 50-year-old Paul Gibson began his career in Lincolnshire in 1998. Gibson later assumed the role of Assistant Chief Constable at Derbyshire Police, and temporarily served as Chief Constable at Northamptonshire Police. In 2020, Gibson was initially shortlisted as the preferred candidate for the role of Chief Constable in Lincolnshire. However, on that occasion, Chris Haward was selected for the position. Disabled Holbeach resident Says His Council Property Is Not Safe The disabled dad of three said he "doesn't feel safe" in his own home after the kitchen ceiling collapsed.   A disabled dad who has asked his council for help has said he does not feel safe in his home after the kitchen ceiling collapsed. The 51-year-old disabled father of three who has a council house in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, which is 8 miles from Spalding; 17 miles from Boston claims the council property puts him and his family in danger. Last year, while Ian Miller was tidying up the kitchen with his son, a part of the ceiling suddenly collapsed.
