Same Sex Marriages Can Now Take Place On P&O And Cunard Cruise Ships

Thanks to a recent Supreme Court Ruling in Bermuda, P & O and Cunard Cruise Ships can now host same-sex marriage ceremonies.

The ruling has been seen as a major step forward in equality where same sex couples can hold their ceremonies on all P&O and Cunard Ships with the exception of P&O’s Britannia.

Since the ruling took place, both cruise liners have been inundated with requests for same-sex weddings with the first ceremony to take place in the Caribbean in January 2018 on P&O’s Azura.

Cruise ships have always been a popular wedding venue for couples wishing to get married or renew their wedding vows. With amazing scenery, a stunning ship and having the captain perform the ceremony, getting married on board a cruise ship is a dream come true for many happy couples. And now, thanks to the court ruling, all happy couples can now enjoy the wonderful experience of getting married on board a cruise ship.

P&O and Cunard have said they are very proud to be able to offer same sex marriage ceremonies and are looking forward to hosting their first wedding ceremony.

A recent study found that more people are looking to get married on board a cruise ship to cut the cost of a wedding in the UK. A cruise ship wedding not only provides a dream setting but by having the honeymoon on the cruise, it helps to reduce the overall cost.
