Cardiff Crown Court Jean Wilson admitted to defrauding the company and falsifying records including invoices, impersonating clients by email, and taking large sums of money to fund her holiday to Singapore and her luxury lifestyle.

Mr. Shepherd explained to the court “She presented in most cases invoices purporting to be invoices for legitimate uses for the company’s spending money but in actual fact, the bank details were that of recipients for the defendant’s personal benefit.

“This was an abuse of trust as managing director – the manipulation of invoices was sophisticated, involved planning and was conducted over a significant period of time.”

The court heard that Jean Wilson boasted about having her own butler while taking a holiday in Thailand

The former managing director has been warned that going to prison is an option
