“Resurgence – Revival of Indian Embroideries & Textiles” organized by Birla Academy of Art & Culture is an event that celebrates the Indian creative talents and showcases their excellent works on embroidery, fabric and other textiles has earned huge success.
The phrase “art imitates life” holds true when it comes to Indian culture and art! Indian art is a complete reflection of the creativity and aesthetics that our artisans and creative minds are blessed with. One of the potent dimensions of this is the domain of Indian textiles and embroidery that has creatively and precisely imitated multiple prints, fabric designs, artistic finesse and delicacy and today is considered as a huge art form in Indian. Serenading this, the Birla Academy of Art & Culture has organized an event named “Resurgence – Revival of Indian Embroideries & Textiles”, that is open to the interested art lovers and other public.
Going by the event details, the “Resurgence – Revival of Indian Embroideries & Textiles” has been designed in a way that the curator will be Mr.Asif Shaikh. In addition to that, Rakhi Sarkar, who’s the Director of CIMA Art Gallery has already inaugurated this event on April 22nd. Therefore, the event had a great start and welcomed art lovers from all over the city to come and have a glimpse of the Indian textiles and embroideries that has been displayed all through the event. The art gallery takes special attempt to create a space that is conducive for creative involvement and artistic appreciation of the events that are organized.
“This was one of the grand events that was organized by Birla Academy of Art & Culture. This event that was on till May 22nd was also graced by none other than Padma Jalan, who’s the founder of Little Bee. Our main objective of this event was to bring into focus the excellent fabric works and textile designs that our Indian artists have been coming up with since decades. The exhibition comprised of traditional as well as unique textiles and embroideries”, said one of the company spokesperson on the event.
“Resurgence – Revival of Indian Embroideries & Textiles” organized by Birla Academy of Art & Culture includes textile works in Kalamkari designs as well as ajrak and bandhani embroidery work. One of the most distinctive works exhibited here was the Navkar Mantra on Bandhani textile and the Parsi embroidery work. In addition to that, the exhibition had also showcased a wide range of sarees and duppattas of multiple fabric work for sale. Interested audience could not just have a glimpse of the collection but also browse at his/her time and space and bring home that was most appealing in the collection exhibited.
