Holiday News. Ryanair always like to shock people and yet again they have done it again. No, they have not announced that passengers who want to have a clean seat to sit on will have to pay extra and no they have not announced that if you would like to be greeted with a smile from Ryanair staff as you board the plane you will have to pay an extra ten pounds, what they have done is to announce that they are increasing their charges for baggage.
The Boss of Ryanair has said that passengers who are taking bags with them and do not check in online will have the charges increased to £100. Not sure if you have a spare hundred pounds in your pocket but I am sure like most people, they will be angry at the new charges.
'Ryanair Shock Passengers With Charges' |
Ryanair seem to have their heads in the clouds and do not understand that money is tight but instead of trying to keep customers happy they are making customers angry with the new charges.
The once cheap budget airline is now becoming an expensive way to travel which makes me wonder do any of the board know what they are doing. Where were they when Thomas Cook one of the biggest names in the travel industry nearly went to the wall?
Cheap Flights Gatwick magazine asked one hundred travellers if they will continue to fly with Ryanair with the new charges and 72 said no.
This is not good news for Ryanair and it makes me wonder what research they did before they introduced the charges as with any airline, if you have no passengers travelling with you then you will not last long.
Ryanair believe they are doing the right thing for their company and feel that customers will continue to use their company to travel but would you really want to pay £100 per bag?
It seems to me that more people will now be careful when booking with cheap airlines with all the new charges that are in place and the small print but one thing is for sure, Ryanair is no longer a cheap way to travel.
