More Jobs To Be Lost At Air France

Not great news for staff at Air France but it seems another 2,600 jobs are to go at the troubled airline a spokesman has confirmed.

The 2,600 jobs at Air France will go by the end of next year but a spokesman for the airline said the jobs would go through early retirement and hope to avoid forced redundancies.

“Within a difficult economic environment, particularly in France and south Europe, the Air France Group needs to implement the measures required to ensure an enduring turnaround in its short and medium-haul and cargo businesses,” it said.

Air France has already made 5,100 job cuts through voluntary redundancies and some travel airport have said, how many more jobs are to go at the airline.

Holiday News reported the airline announced net losses of $793m for the first six months of 2013, it seems things are going to get much worse before they get better, but the important question is, will Air France Survive.
