Lance Armstrong was once a name you could be proud of and a person multi national companies wanted to be associated with, but now the name Lance Armstrong has become a dirty word after claims the ex champion has become a cheat.
Nike have decided they no longer want to be associated with Lance Armstrong and have dropped him like a lead balloon.

A spokesman for Nike told TMZ:
“Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him,”
Lance Armstrong has now decided to step down as chairman of the Livestrong cancer fighting charity although Nike have said they will still continue to support the charity.
“To spare the foundation any negative effects as a result of controversy surrounding my cycling career, I will conclude my chairmanship,” Armstrong says in a statement.
Fans of Lance Armstrong have turned to social networks such as Twitter to show their disgust and shock into the allegations and cannot understand how a man they once admired could have betrayed them.
