Najarra Townsend Hunts Child Abductors in Exclusive Scene from Wolf Mother

Riding Hood Motion Pictures has released a suspenseful first look scene of Wolf Mother, which opens Dances With Films on June 2nd.

Studio City, Calif.,   Riding Hood Motion has released a terrifying clip of the noir crime thriller, “Wolf Mother”, which has been chosen as the opening night film at, Dances With Films. The multi genre film, which is written and directed by Erik Peter Carlson (“Transatlantic Coffee”, “The Toy Soldiers”) stars Najarra Townsend (“Contracted”), New York stage actor, Kevin Pinassi, and star of David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” revival, Tom Sizemore (“Heat”, “Saving Private Ryan”).

The official synopsis mentions Zelda’s past as a Hollywood starlet. Now, her life has hit skid row, but she still believes she can find redemption, by solving a high profile child abduction case.

“In an attempt to rectify their criminal past, a once successful Hollywood starlet, turn prostitute, and a petty thief, set out together to solve a high profile child abduction case in San Francisco.”

“It’s seriously provokes the conversation of where that line is drawn between good and evil. This theme always fascinated me, and I wanted to make this a frightening, yet sometimes, comical experience for the audience”, says Carlson.

Carlson’s last film, “The Toy Soldiers”, which was released in 2014 in AMC theaters, was an indie sensation. His style is surely prominent in the clip, which exudes atmosphere and offers up a scenario that raises far more questions than it could ever hope to answer.

“Always, not answering questions, is far more productive than answering them, when it comes to the language of film. I don’t like talking about what a film is about. It seems counter productive. It should be up to the audience on how to feel. I don’t want to dictate  to them what to feel”, explains the writer/director.

On Thursday, June 2nd, the thriller will open the 2016 edition of Dances With Films in Hollywood, at the historical Chinese Theaters. Tickets are now available to the public on Festival programers plan for a sold out show. Information below.
