FireFaux Entertainment (https://www.facebook.com/pages/FireFaux-Entertainment) and Fatemi Entertainment Group (http://www.fatemientertainment.com/) are excited to announce the starring of Macleish Day and Alison Lani in their upcoming independent film Once With Maggie.
This is the second collaboration for these two companies as co-producers, with Duet For Four—a tale of unrequited love—which starred Jamie Renee Smith, Jon Peterson, Chris Prascus and Briton Green, being their first. The filming for their initial and joint effort has just wrapped up this month, sparking up interest for this new project, Once With Maggie.
Being in the business of independent media producing high quality productions, these entertainment companies hope to turn what they love and live for into profitable careers, granting them the freedom to pursue their art not just for the pleasure it brings them, but for a living. Through their films, they seek to expose the industry’s hidden gems, from directors, to writers, to actors. For this feature, they chose to work with rising indie stars Macleish Day (www.macjday.com) and Alison Lani (www.alisonlani.com).
Day, who began acting at the age of 12, was accepted at the Interlochen Arts Academy thanks to his portrayal of Oscar Linquist in Sweet Charity, which won him the ICA award for Best Actor in a Musical. In 2008, he received his BA in Musical Theatre and went on to star in films such as The Highwayman. He later completed his post-graduate studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Lani, who has had a deep love for the stage since grade school, pursued her passion while attending high school. She went on to perform in various productions in Chicago and LA, and appears regularly in commercials and indie films. Lani is also writing and producing Burning Bridges, a comedy webseries funded through Indiegogo.
Production for Once With Maggie is slated to begin filming in early 2015. It is scheduled for release in early August/September of 2015.
