Low Coast Airline EasyJet Predict A Very Busy September

Easyjet are going from strength to strength and according to new figures released, the low cost airline is expected to fly nine million people out of the UK this summer.

According to Easyjet 5.5 million of their passengers will be flying out of the UK over the school summer holidays with Spain being the most popular country for the low cost airline passengers.

Easyjet expect 6th September to be their busiest day with more than 130,000 passengers flying out of the UK on more than 800 flights.

Passengers on board Easyjet will be able to help the charity Unicef through the Change for Good campaign by donating any unspent foreign currency they have. Since last summer when the campaign was launched, £1.2 million has been raised which will help to immunise children.

Customer service director Peter Duffy said: “Since last summer our passengers have donated generously to this fantastic Unicef programme with the money they raised having enabled Unicef to protect nearly 1.5 million children against polio and a further 2.5 million children and mothers against deadly childhood diseases and maternal and newborn tetanus. With even more travelling this summer we hope to surpass last year’s effort.”
