Iberostar El Mirador Tenerife Holiday Review

Tenerife is a holiday resort that a lot of people mistakenly think is an expensive place to stay and visit but nothing could be further from the truth. Maybe in the old days, Tenerife was seen as a holiday resort where the rich went but not any more. Tenerife is an amazing holiday destination that is one of my favourite Canary Island resorts, it has everything on offer from wonderful beaches, great nightlife, amazing restaurants and quality hotels and one of those quality hotels is the Iberostar El Mirador which is a perfect example of what a hotel should be like, no matter which holiday resort you are visiting. The 5 star Iberostar El Mirador hotel is a must for people who want quality, great customer service, quality hotel rooms and best of all, amazing food.

The luxurious 120 room 5 star Iberostar El Mirador hotel which is six storeys high is in the wonderful area of Costa Adeje in Tenerife which is occupies a beautiful hillside setting. The hotel has to be one of the most luxury hotels in Tenerife that has an aim to look after their guest every need. One thing for sure, if you are looking for a hotel where you can relax, enjoy yourself and want to be pampered then this is the hotel for you.

‘Iberostar El Mirador Hotel Offers Quality At An Affordable Price ‘

The bedrooms in the Iberostar El Mirador hotel are decorated in colonial style and face the sea to give you an amazing view that you will never forget. From the balconies you can see the landscaped gardens that are well looked after with palm trees, shrubs, lawns and flowers. There is a big swimming pool that runs along the length of the hotel that is surrounded by small sun terraces and unlike other hotels where their sun-loungers are few and uncomfortable, the Ilberostar El Mirador provides enough sun-loungers for all guests which means you do not have to get up early to race for a sun-lounger and best of all they are very comfortable.

The Ilberostar El Mirador hotel is classed as an adult’s hotel so you will not find any children under the age of 14 so if you are thinking about a holiday for your children at this hotel then I am sorry but you will have to choose a different hotel. There are more and more of these so called adult only hotels appearing around Spain and I for one think it is a bad idea.

This amazing hotel is fully air conditioned and has three restaurants that provide some of the best food that you will ever get to eat in a holiday hotel. This includes a buffet restaurant, El Mirador, an a la carte restaurant, the La Pergola Beach Club, an oriental themed restaurant, a snack bar and a bar. As well as the three restaurants there is a café, shops, traditional English bar as well as a nightclub. For people who like going on the internet while on holiday, the Ilberostar El Mirador has a fast internet connection which allows you to surf the net at a good speed instead of normal hotels where you can read a newspaper before it manages to load a new page.

The hotel also offers 24 hour reception, several conference rooms, bicycle storage room, barbecue area, safe, currency exchange facilities, lift access, and laundry facilities.

Sports and leisure facilities include two outdoor swimming pools and one specifically for children, fitness centre, lounge, TV room, video games, Squash, table tennis and pool table.

If you like water sports then this hotel and resort is definitely for you. Down by the beach there are a number of water sports that are available which includes diving, jet skiing, sailing and if you have the energy windsurfing.

For the people who like golf and I am not one of them, the hotel arranges transport to some of the island’s golf courses which are around eight miles away.

The only problem I have with this hotel is the entertainment. For me a hotel should have great rooms which the Ilberostar El Mirador has, it also has to have great food which it also has, the facilities such as swimming pools has to be great which again the hotel provides great facilities but for me, the hotel needs to provide great entertainment and for a five star hotel I felt really let down by the entertainment.

The staff are very charming and make you feel very special and we did notice with some guests who have been to the hotel before, the staff at the bar and reception remembered them which just shows how well trained they are and how they care about making your stay as pleasant as it can be.

If you want the best views of the sea then I would suggest you ask for the higher floors as these give you amazing views.

If you are visiting Tenerife for a holiday and you want a value for money hotel then we do recommend the Ilberostar El Mirador hotel.
