Famous painter, Dexter Brown’s eldest daughter Fabia Jane Brown has released her much-anticipated book of poetry ‘Dew on a Spiders Web’ (ISBN 9781291817980). Filled with over 20 years of Fabia’s prose, this book has been a journey for Fabia. Her prose-writing travels through the pages telling the “tale of her meanderings, fictional dreamworkings and sugar coated depression.”
Fabia’s fans have long been anticipating the release for “Dew on a Spiders Web”. They have expressed their appreciation for stellar level of poetry found all through ‘Dew on a Spiders Web’. In the 1990’s two major record labels approached Fabia with interest in her poetry, however she knew that the journey with her lyrics was not over. Just as it is with her father’s paintings, fans find that her poems mean something different to each of them.
The author explains that her life and art have been heavily influenced by Pink Floyd and her father’s abstract, impressionistic artwork styles and new age fantasy art. She describes her book as a “muddledness I’d created” but that it had “evolved into a new age type of journeying”.
The poetry foundation found that 70.7% of all people felt that poetry helped them appreciate the world around them and 56.4% of all people found that poetry provides comfort during difficult times. Through Fabia’s book ‘Dew on a Spiders Web’ people have been transformed and transfixed by the words that flowed from her mind onto the page.
