Benidorm Police To Use Drones To Crack Down On Crime

This could be good news for UK holidaymakers who are concerned about the rising crime in Benidorm. The Local police are going to be using a new drone to cut down on crime.

Benidorm is the first resort in Spain to be using such modern technology to tackle crime and this could be the answer that holidaymakers and residents have been waiting for.

We recently reported how holidaymakers were fed up with the rise in crime in Benidorm, and how residents and businesses had launched a campaign to improve the image of Benidorm. It seems the Local Police could now be listening and coming down hard on those that target vulnerable holidaymakers.

Pickpockets in Benidorm have become a huge problem (see article Holidaymakers Call On Spanish Police To Tackle Benidorm Pea Men), and this new technology could help cut down on the number of people who fall victim.

The drone will also be used for special events such as festivals and the Benidorm Half Marathon. The police are hoping this new technology will help holidaymakers feel safer while enjoying their fun in the sun.

It will be interesting to see if the new drone will target pickpockets and pea men.
