The Hotel Flamingo Oasis was a hotel I have heard lots about over the years but never managed to visit it. I kept on hearing how great this hotel was and how it is one of the best hotels in Benidorm so I finally decided that I needed to check out the Flamingo Oasis and find out what the fuss was all about. To my amazement within the first day I knew exactly why people were saying the Flamingo hotel was a hidden jewel. |

This popular Benidorm hotel is situated about ten minutes’ walk to what is known as the entertainment strip where all the nightlife is happening which includes great bars and tribute bands But if you do not want to walk then you can get a taxi which will cost you about five euro. 'Flamingo Oasis Hotel In Benidorm Is One Of The Best Family Hotels In Costa Blanca 'The Flamingo Oasis in Benidorm has 398 rooms’ fantastic views which are spread over 25 floors and at the moment the rooms are being refurbished with many of them already had their finishing touches. The rooms are very spacious and contain telephone, air conditioning, balcony, Satellite TV, Safe (please note there is a charge for this) and in the bathroom there is a hairdryer. The Benidorm hotel has a large lake swimming pool and children’s pool which is surrounded by sun beds but please be warned that if you are planning on sunbathing at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel then you will have three major problems. The first problem is, the management at the Flamingo Oasis hotel seem to have a problem with counting. There are not enough sunbeds at this hotel and to be honest they are not very comfy if you are lucky to grab yourself a sunbed. The second problem is, when you have a sunbed, you will find within minutes of everyone racing for a sunbed like a scene out of a Benny Hill sketch that you will have some who you do not really known lying right next to you. There is not enough space for everyone to sunbath and once all the sunbeds are out, you are quashed in like sardines. And the other major problem is, the sun does not really hit the Flamingo Oasis Hotel sunbathing area because you are over shadowed by other hotels and buildings which mean you do not really get much sun, unless you pay the extra and sunbath on top of the hotel. There are lots to do at this hotel, you have a kids club and you also have an arcade downstairs in the hotel which has arcade games and pool tables. You also have a TV room as well as films being shown during the day in the main entertainment room and you also have 2 Jacuzzi, indoor pool, sauna, gym, tennis court, table tennis and lots of pool tables to keep everyone active. For the adults and children there is lots going on which is organised by the entertainment team which includes archery, water aerobics, quiz’s, golf and lots more. The entertainment team work very hard to keep the children and adults entertained and are really friendly. Some entertainment teams that I have come across only pretend to be friendly and once they are off duty they change but the entertainment team at the Flamingo Oasis should be congratulated. All through the day and night they work hard to make sure everyone is having a great time and when on occasions it starts to rain, they are there making sure the rain does not spoil your holiday. There are two bars in the hotel for normal guest, which include the bar in the main entertainment room where all the shows are put on and then you have a bar on the same floor as the reception which serves local and international beer. One of the main things that really impressed me about the Flamingo Oasis Hotel was the restaurant. I have been to many great hotels where the rooms are great, the staff are great but when you get to the restaurant, the food is like being back at school, you remember, having to eat it but not really wanting to. But here at this amazing hotel, the food was out of this world. You can even have yourself a Sunday Dinner with all the trimmings and wait for it, they even provide Yorkshire Puddings. If you have had problems in the past where your children could not find anything to eat, well do not worry because at this favourite Benidorm hotel your children will not have a problem. Everyone I spoke to could not believe how great the food was and this is another reason why people rave about the Flamingo Oasis Hotel. If you are going all inclusive to the Flamingo Oasis Hotel then you are in for a treat. Normally when I have gone all-inclusive I have found the beer to be watered down but not here. As well as your all inclusive beer, you can have coffee and lots of different refreshments plus you can have snacks and ice-cream. All inclusive at this hotel is well worth the money. The shows of a night time are really great and unlike other hotels where the entertainment is rubbish or it is all done by the entertainment team then please do not worry. Yes the entertainment team do put on shows but they are great shows and very funny shows but on top of this, they bring in professional acts with many of them that you will see in the entertainment strip in the new town. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, they could teach a thing or two to the hotel next door but that is for another hotel review we have done. It does amaze me that the staff behind the bar remembers a lot of the hotel guests who have been there before which I found as a nice touch. If you are looking for a great family hotel then the Flamingo Oasis will give you everything that you need and please do not worry about the sunbathing problem because the beach is only just down the road. |
