A spokesman for Gatwick Airport said that it will create more jobs at the airport at will also create jobs outside of the airport but the chairman of the GACC, Mr Brendon Sewill said when people realise the damaging affect it will have on the local area then there will be a tidal wave of public resistance.

The GACC feel that any new runway will increase noise pollution as well as increasing traffic and increase pressure on local services.

Mr Sewill and his group who are putting their own recommendations forward to stop the second runway is confident that he and his group will put a stop to the second runway and feels the airport as a whole is to small to be even considered for expansion.
