This is a common situation for many people to be in as often we have very busy days and then come home to be busy and before we know it its time to go to sleep and we havent "stopped" - the reasons would be dependant on what is keeping you awake - common reasons for people not being able to sleep are the mind still racing with thoughts, maybe eating too late or not eating the correct foods, not having downloaded the day and so on
