Bingo players share the spoils at Grimsby gambling venueA large group of numbers game fans from Grimsby were delighted to secure a share of Gala Bingo's High 5 jackpot re  cently.The £20,000 prize was shared between 149 people at the Lincolnshire town's Gala venue, allowing each player to pocket £134, the Grimsby Telegraph reports. In Gala's High 5 game, bingo clubs around the country compete against each other and the first venue to reach a full house is rewarded with the group jackpot. "It is fantastic that so many people shared such a big prize," Matt Adlington, deputy manager at the venue, told the newspaper. "We have a lot of choice here so people come and play more than once a week with their friends. Bingo is definitely getting more popular," he added. Bingo player Vera Whiting described the prize as "absolutely marvellous" and said that she plans to spend it while on holiday in Tenerife. Last May, a High 5 jackpot of more than £753,000 was shared between 302 players at the Gala Bingo club in Ashton, Greater Manchester.
