| MoonDance Takes Entertainment To A Soaring High At GuilFest 2008 |

More kicks than RiverDance, more peaks than the Highlands, more harmony than a male voice choir, three nights at the Farmer Giles Barn Dance had it all at this year's GuilFest. Even those with 2 left feet grooved to the music of MoodDance E-Ceilidh band. With renowned UK folk-roots and fusion musicians such as Brian Heywood on guitars and Siân Phillips on fiddle, festival goers skipped the light fantastic. The Late Night high energy Barn Dance with it's traditional and modern barn dances called by Liz and John Scholey got the floor packed out. One dancer commented on the GuilFest Web-Forum, "Absolutely loved it!!! We poked our heads round the door on the Saturday with no intention of getting involved and before you know it, we were being hurled around in sets. Thanks to everyone who asked me to dance, had a cracking time and hope to see you back next year..." "It was absolutely amazing to watch from stage." Musical Director Brian Heywood recalled, "The floor swarmed with the young and the older, taking dance instruction and mostly, getting it right! We had a new edge on pole dancing - around the marquee poles on hay bales. "We felt that it was the right thing to do later in the evening as it brought everyone's evening to an easy close. After all, people didn't just want to go home after the main stage had finished." "All in all, the three nights were a hit and it was the 'in' place to be. When the band were asked to wind up early on Sunday - with more than an hour to go the squeeze would have been too much for the marquee, everybody had a great time." Tony Scott, founder of GuilFest spoke about the festival and highlighted that : "By far the best GuilFest ever! Musically absolutely brilliant ... I thought that Farmer Giles' Barn Dance was particularly superb" - referring to the MoonDance contribution.
