Manchester United owners The Glazer
family were stunned and angry with former Manchester United player David Beckham
when he joined the Manchester United fans protest against the Glazer family by
picking up a green and gold scarf and wearing it proudly in a show of support
for the Manchester United fans who are calling for the Glazer family to sell up
and go home.
The Glazer family who made a very rare
appearance at the game after shunning a lot of the home games due to safety
fears after their failed attempt to get the fans on side, were left angry and
stunned at the former Manchester United players protest.
Angry fans cheered David Beckham when he wore the protest scarf leaving the Glazer family embarrassed that one of the greatest players to have played in the red colours were supporting the fans calls for the Glazer family to sell up and go home.
According to sources close to David
Beckham, The Ex Manchester United player cannot believe how one of the biggest
clubs in the world can be in so much debt. The source said that David loves
Manchester United and feels for the fans. He is angry that the Glazer family
have come in and turned the club he played for and loves upside down and made
the fans angry.
David Beckham who got a huge welcome
from the fans came on as a 64th minute sub in Milan’s 4-0 defeat
leaving the rest of Europe knowing that Manchester United mean business and
they want to bring the European cup home.
Jack Fields from London who travelled
down to Old Trafford for the game said: “David Beckham may not play for
Manchester United anymore, but he is a living Manchester United Hero and he has
Manchester United blood running through his veins. The fans love him and that
is why we gave him such a fantastic welcome. It would be a dream if David
finished his career at Old Trafford but I cannot see that happening.”
George Ward from Manchester said: “What David Beckham done tonight
for the fans, showing his support for our protest put a tear in my eye. He
showed he is still a red at heart, and show the Glazer family there is no
support for them and they must now leave Manchester United and sell up.”
The Glazer family have refused to sell the club even though there
are people interested in taking over, but according to a source at Manchester
United, there is no way the Glazer family will sell the club within the next
two years which could mean even more debt for the club.
