Through the release of the latest single "New York" by The Hazey Janes, the enigmatic new romantic icon Steve Strange came to know and love the band enough to take them on under the wing of his booking agency X-Ray Touring and personally organise slots at the key festivals
throughout the summer.

Oxegen – July 13th – Co Kildare Ireland - New Sound Stage (4.15pm)

Media acclaim for first album ‘Hotel Radio’:
“…a debut of fizzing power pop… they pack a considerably robust punch.” [Uncut]
“There’s nothing catatonic about The Hazey Janes who exhale with assurance on their full length debut. The opening ‘Always There’ cruises between REM, The Byrds and The Beatles, awash in glistening three-part harmonies and a perfect George Harrison guitar solo…” [Classic Rock]
“A life-affirming debut…The Hazey Janes may just be the best haggis-powered country rockers
yet.” [Mojo]
“…Teenage Fanclub country pop with an occasional burst of Ash-like power punk. Their nearest musical neighbours are The Jayhawks, proof that dreary Scottish high rises are no hindrance to wide-open country rock.” [Q] 4/5
