According to reports the new word for Blackmail is Screenplay, this is according to the man who was trying to Blackmail David Letterman.
Robert Joel Halderman the former CBS producer who has been accused of Blackmail and attempting to extort $2 million from David Letterman claims that he was trying to sell the rights to a screenplay about a talk show host who “fostered an environment” of sexual harassment.
These amazing claims that were made in a Manhattan, New York, court room on Tuesday by Robert Joel Halderman who has said that he would never resort to Blackmail and the situation has got out of hand.
“There was no extortion,” defence attorney Gerald Shargel told reporters outside the courtroom. “This was a commercial transaction, nothing more. ”
David Letterman attorney, Danuel Horowitz who was shocked at the claims that it was not Blackmail and a simple business transaction said, said he could not believe Robert Joel Halderman was claiming it was a transaction and said it was a “classic blackmail case”
“Mr. Letterman is fully prepared to see this through to the end — including testifying at trial.”
