Holiday Ideas Theme Parks In Orlando |
|
It’s virtually impossible to take a holiday in Orlando, Florida without
visiting some of the theme parks it is home to. From Disney to
Universal and many other smaller ones as well, you’ll be spoilt for
choice if the mere mention of the words ‘theme park’ has you reaching
to buy a ticket to get in.
The Walt Disney World resort is
almost a holiday in itself. With four main theme parks and two water
parks all rolled into one, you can see there is much more than a day’s
worth of activities to look forward to here.
The Magic Kingdom
is home to the famous Cinderella castle, but there are plenty of other
attractions here as well. For example, you can see the Presidents of
the United States and visit Tom Sawyer’s Island too. With plenty of
rides for all ages you won’t have a chance to wonder what you can do
next.
If you like water rides then don’t miss Disney’s
Blizzard Beach. This has all kinds of chutes and tubes to test your
nerves – the most spectacular one has a 37 metre sheer drop that will
leave your stomach miles behind!
Universal Studios is the
other major theme park attraction in Orlando. This offers two main
theme parks, one of which is called Islands of Adventure. This has
water rides and roller coasters plus a lot more for the less
adventurous members of the family to try. Once you have exhausted all
the rides there, you can visit the Universal Studios attraction too.
You’ll
find plenty of rides here which take in some of the most famous
Universal TV shows and movies, so watch out for characters like the
Simpsons and Shrek. What’s more, since the area is used for various
filming activities you might enjoy a glimpse into a real television or
film recording as well.
One theme park you may not have heard
of is called WonderWorks. This aims to entertain your mind, and it does
so very well indeed. One of the exhibits shows you what it would be
like to live through an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale.
There are also flight simulators and a Wonder Coaster that gives you a
unique roller coaster ride unlike anything else you have ever tried.
Finally
you shouldn’t miss SeaWorld. With some famous rides and plenty of shows
to see as well, this is a great day out for the family. You can also
get closer to penguins, turtles and dolphins than you have ever been
before.
Once you have made your choice from the many Orlando hotels in the area, you can look forward to visiting all the theme parks the area has to offer. Which one will you head to first?
